Our Process
Our approach makes all the difference
How It Works
Our Process
From design through installation, Green Landscape Solutions ensures you have a designer or project manager working closely with you each step of the way. Our commitment to customer satisfaction ensures you will love the final product.
01
Initial Contact
When you first contact us, we will collect your landscaping ideas and landscape design from you. We also collect your contact information. You may also submit an information request by sending an e-mail to info@begreen.biz or clicking the phone icon above. You will be contacted within 24 hours.
02
Consultation
Next, we will schedule an initial consultation with you. During this consultation, we will discuss information about the landscaping services we provide and how we can tailor our services to your solution. It shows you our commitment to the attention to detail it takes to bring your landscape vision to life.
- Listen to your objectives so we understand your landscape dreams.
- Walk the property with you, taking notes and listening, giving you the personal attention needed to fully conceive your new landscape plan.
- Ask questions to help bring your ideas into better focus.
- These questions often uncover more specific aspects of your landscape design, such as whether you want water features, retaining walls, smaller rocks, or larger boulders to decorate your landscape. They illuminate the focal point of your landscape design.
- Discuss your anticipated budget for the project.
- Your budget will likely depend on whether you need a garden design, only a front yard, or want to incorporate boulders and other xeriscape features.
- Discuss whether our design services are appropriate or proceed directly to a proposal for the installation of work discussed.
03
Design
If after discussing your specific needs you decide to proceed with a design plan, our highly talented and creative landscape designer will prepare a proposal for design services and submit it to you for approval. You must then return the signed proposal to our office with a retainer fee to begin the design process. If you are interested in landscape design, please visit the design tab above for more information.
04
Installation
Once you approve an existing design you have or ours, we will prepare a proposal for the installation of your new landscape. When we receive the signed contract and deposit, we will schedule the job and order materials. Work typically begins within two to six weeks of contract acceptance, depending on the weather and the time of year.
Landscaping Project Start
Depending on the scope of the project, our crew may be at your property anywhere from one day to one month or more. We will ask you if we can place a job sign with our name and logo on your property on the street. Not only does this show our pride in our work, but also assists landscape deliveries for the site. Construction elements such as rough grading, drainage, walls, walkways, water features, and trees are completed first. These operations require large machines and will cause disturbance to the ground, which is normal. All disturbances will be repaired before the job is done.
Landscape Plot Preparation and Execution
Bed preparation, soil conditioning, and installation of smaller plants are completed next. This work is done primarily with small-engine machines or manual labor. Installation of lighting fixtures, mulching, and lawn establishment starts to put the landscape picture back together. All plants are thoroughly watered, large trees are staked, and ribbons and tags are removed from the plants. All debris is picked up and disposed of properly.
Progress Meetings and Clean-Up
There will be progress meetings scheduled with the designer and the landscape foreman during the course of the job to assess progress and answer questions. Many times during the course of the construction, clients ask to add to or modify the plan. The designer will promptly assess the change and if needed, prepare a change order that displays price changes.
05
Follow-Up
Our landscape designer and landscape foreman will meet with you on-site to walk through the completed landscape. Any items that require attention will be noted and will be promptly resolved. You will be given written landscape maintenance care instructions to help you through the establishment period of your new landscape. You may contact your landscape designer anytime with detailed questions should the need arise.
Green Landscape’s
Guarantee to You
Green Landscape Solutions guarantees your plants to be true to name and in healthy growing condition when installed. After all, it’s the owner’s responsibility to supply them with sufficient water and fertilizer to keep them healthy. Newly planted trees and shrubs must be watered year-round, including during the dormant season. Newly installed landscape plants will suffer transplant shock, particularly during the hot summer months. It is imperative that plants receive proper care, so as to minimize stress.
Warranty Information
Trees and shrubs are warranted for one year from the date of installation, and will be replaced once within the warranty period, should they die. Annuals, perennials, bulbs, and ground cover are NOT warranted. Green Landscape Solutions will make warranty replacements during the optimum planting seasons: spring and fall. Typically, replacements occur between May 1st through June 30th and September 1st through November 15th. These time frames are subject to change only at the discretion of Green Landscape Solutions.
Liability Claim
Green Landscape Solutions assumes no liability for the replacement of plants killed or damaged by improper care, pests, insect infestation, abnormal weather conditions, or other conditions beyond our control, nor will we replace plants experiencing “seasonal die-back”, when pruning and proper care will restore them to health. Moving landscape plants from their original location will void the warranty.
All orders for landscape plants are accepted under the foregoing conditions, and no other warranty will apply whether expressed or implied.
Please feel free to contact Green Landscape Solutions LLC, with any questions regarding plant care.
